A wooden watch is not a steel watch with a wood finish. It is a different material with different rules, and the single most important one is this: wooden watches are not water resistant.
Keep it dry
Wood absorbs moisture, swells and can crack as it dries again. That means no showers, no swimming, no washing up while wearing it, and no leaving it in a steamy bathroom overnight.
If it does get wet, dry it straight away with a soft cloth rather than leaving it to air-dry. Rain on the way to the car is not a disaster; a wet sleeve for an hour is worse than it sounds.
Clean with a dry cloth, not a damp one
Wipe the case and band with a soft, dry cloth. Skip water, and skip household cleaners and alcohol wipes entirely — solvents strip the finish and dull the grain permanently. There is nothing you need to add: no oil, no polish, no conditioner.
Watch the heat and the sunlight
Direct heat is what warps wood. Avoid leaving the watch on a sunny windowsill, on a car dashboard, or near a heater. Long exposure to strong sunlight will also lighten the colour unevenly, so store it in a drawer or a box rather than on display in a bright room.
Every one looks slightly different
Grain varies from tree to tree, so no two wooden watches are identical — the E019A and E022H in red sandalwood will each have their own pattern. That is the material behaving normally, not a defect.
Wood also darkens slightly with wear as it picks up the oils from your skin. Most people prefer it after a year.
The band
Wooden link bands are sized by removing links rather than punching holes. If yours is loose, have links taken out rather than wearing it slack — a loose wooden band knocks against desks and door frames, and wood chips where steel would only scratch. The Nature Series U056 uses a leather strap instead, which adjusts conventionally.
Everything else is normal
Inside, these are ordinary Japanese MIYOTA quartz movements, so battery life and accuracy behave like any quartz watch. The magnetic ball display needs no maintenance at all — the balls are held by magnets below the dial and never need cleaning or adjusting.
Treated sensibly a wooden watch outlasts the trend that sold it. The full range is at wooden magnetic watches, and every EUTOUR order carries a 12-month warranty.
