How the mirrored dial reads

A mirror dial watch behaves differently in different light. In shade it reads as deep charcoal or silver depending on the variant; under direct light it throws reflections and picks up whatever is around it. Because there is nothing printed on the surface, the two magnetic spheres stay the only things your eye tracks — the larger one for hours, the smaller for minutes, read against the Roman numerals on the bezel.

Printing hour markers onto a mirrored surface would break the reflection and make the whole face look busy; moving them to the bezel keeps the mirror uninterrupted while still giving you a scale to read against. The 38 mm copper alloy case carries a PVD finish and takes a 20 mm stainless steel mesh bracelet that slides to any length — no removing links, no tools. Two variants are offered: Black Mirror and Mirror Silver. The black version is the more discreet of the two and hides fingerprints better; the silver is the more reflective and the more attention-grabbing. At 38 mm this mirror dial watch reads as unisex and suits wrists from roughly 14.5 cm to 19 cm.

Keeping a mirror dial clean

The one honest trade-off with any mirror dial watch is fingerprints and dust — a polished surface shows both. A microfibre cloth, the kind supplied with spectacles, clears it in a few seconds; avoid paper tissue, which can leave fine scratches on a polished finish.
