How the magnetic ball movement works

Instead of hands sweeping across a printed face, two small spheres are held to the dial track by magnets and driven by the quartz movement beneath. The larger ball indicates the hour and the smaller one the minutes, so reading the time is a matter of noting where each ball sits on the track. Printed hour indices were added to the open dial on the E022A — a change from the earlier E019 series — so the time stays easy to read at a glance rather than needing a second look.

Red sandalwood dial and PVD-coated case

The dial is cut from natural red sandalwood, so the grain pattern on every piece is slightly different and no two watches are identical. The 40 mm case is copper alloy finished with a PVD coating, which gives it a deeper, more scratch-resistant surface than plating alone. An additional IF surface treatment helps the case resist dust, skin oil, fingerprints and light abrasion during daily wear — useful on a watch with an open dial, where the face is more exposed than on a sealed design.

Strap options and fit

The E022A takes a 20 mm strap. The black stainless steel mesh bracelet slides to any length and suits a formal or office look, while the three leather options give a warmer contrast against the sandalwood dial. Both band types are adjustable, and the 40 mm case sits comfortably on wrist sizes from roughly 15 cm to 20 cm. At this diameter the magnetic wooden watch reads as unisex — slim enough for a smaller wrist, large enough to keep the open dial legible.

Water resistance and daily care

3ATM water resistance covers rain, splashes and hand-washing. It does not cover swimming, showering or diving, and the sandalwood dial should not be soaked. Wipe the case and dial with a dry, soft cloth; avoid solvents and alcohol-based cleaners on the wood. Because the movement is battery-powered rather than automatic, this magnetic wooden watch needs no winding — the SR920SW cell runs for roughly 45 months before a replacement is due.

No. The magnets are small and enclosed within the dial assembly, and are far too weak to damage a phone, a debit card or a laptop.

Is the dial real wood?

Yes. Every EUTOUR magnetic wooden watch in this series uses a natural red sandalwood dial. Grain and tone vary slightly between individual pieces.

Can I wear it in the shower?

No. 3ATM covers rain and hand-washing only. Remove the watch before showering or swimming.

The warranty covers any and all parts of the watch that may need repair due to defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty does not cover:

1. Battery, strap, and excessive wear and tear or intentional damage to the case or movement.
2. Damage caused by improper use (e.g., not adhering to the watch’s water-resistance rating when diving) or water immersion (beyond the scope of the water-resistance marking).
